One of the most important issues for Labour is improving the local environment in Fareham.
Through their failure to get their acts together, the Tory-run Fareham Borough Council and Hampshire County Council have thoroughly neglected weed clearance and street cleansing in Fareham. The air of neglect has continued to be created by the total lack of action from local Tory and so called opposition Lib Dem Councillors who purport to represent Fareham. This inaction has given the impression that nobody cares about streets, pavements, bin collections and green spaces. But we do.
We have received a lot of support for our determination to call these remote Councils to account for the many thousands of pounds Fareham residents pay in Council Tax. People want to see value for money in Council-run services, such as street cleansing, clearing weeds, picking up litter, parking, street lighting, maintaining pavements, repairing potholes and removing graffiti.
To represent your views effectively and improve the quality of life in Fareham, it is important for us to have your views on these local issues. We would be grateful if you would take a few minutes to complete this Quality of Life Survey.
