Candidate for Fareham South Ward, Fareham Borough Council, May 2022
I am running to be your labour councillor in the upcoming local elections on 5th May 2022. I live and am raising my family in Fareham South.
I have worked all of my career in the public sector, mostly with young people, and plan to bring that experience and insight to the role of councillor. I am also mum to a young child with additional needs and am passionate about the role community plays for families in Fareham.
I came later to politics but during the pandemic I could no longer sit by and not try to be part of a change for people. We deserve better than our current leadership- both nationally and locally.
I am a proud member of the Labour party and believe that a Labour government would mean a fairer and more compassionate future for us all.
I am committed to the values of transparency and accountability and would hope to be accessible to all of you. By listening to the views and needs of local residents I hope to be a voice for change on the council and to make sure that the things that matter to people are considered in decision making.
